February was a busy month on the blog. I published 24 posts in 28 days, and those of you who thought that far too many of those were centered on food and on spirits other than whisky will be glad to know that I will be giving you more of the same this month. I have a big backlog of food reports to catch up on. In March I will get done with my reports from London in June and from Bombay in December and will make a start on my reports from Delhi in December and Los Angeles from December/January. And I still have a report or two to come from our Scotland trip in June as well. And there’ll be a few Minnesota reports too, including from another Indian restaurant outing and likely another Korean outing. Coming soon as well will be the third installment in my series covering the coverage of South Asian food in the American media, which I am sure will make me even more friends. And on the booze front I will be posting more Cognac and Armagnac reviews as I try to make a dent in accumulated samples on the one hand and to open some recently purchased bottles on the other. But there’ll be whisky reviews as well. I got to almost all of the reviews that were requested from last month’s long list and will certainly get to the remainder this month, but if there’s anything else that catches your eye in the list below, please write in to the comments.

Most interested in the Blair Athol because I have a mixed relationship with First Editions and enjoy getting different perspectives on them and the Dudognon because I’m pretty intrigued by the distillery after trying one of them.

Bowmore 22, 1996 (Old Malt Cask for K&L)! I’m curious how it compares to the 1997 Bowmore 20 Old Particular for K&L.

Keep up the great work! It would be really interesting if somehow you’d be able to do a side by side comparison of the old Talisker 8 and the new one that’s out

Forgot to add—-if you don’t have a sample of the new Talisker 8, I’d be happy to send you one

Unfortunately, I already drank and took notes on the old Talisker 8 a couple of months ago—just haven’t gotten around to posting the review.
Is the new one in the US? I’m yet to encounter it in MN.

I don’t think it is—-I got mine from overseas. Not sure if there was enough of an allocation for US.
