Peninsula: Roti Telur

Peninsula: Roti Telur

This Roti Telur, however, is quite a bit different from the North Indian stuffed parathas I’m familiar with. Much thicker for one thing, with the stuffing not integrated into the dough. Not that I’ve completed a comprehensive survey of Indian-style breads in the region, but this is quite unlike any of the others we saw/ate in Singapore, which were, more or less, resembled their Indian counterparts. This is only an observation, not a criticism: this is quite good on its own merits–though I’d prefer hot chillies to bell pepper–and comes with the same great chicken curry.
