Steamed Fish Head: Did I say that the first fish arrived in a large bowl? Well, this arrives in a colossal bowl. In the bowl is a gigantic head of carp that has been split. It is swimming in a lovely broth (presumably the steaming liquid), and has an unfeasible amount of dry and pickled peppers scattered over it (and some herbs including shiso/perilla leaf). And it’s bloody good (though rather fiddly to eat). Our waitress had suggested getting this with tofu added on and it was a great counterpoint (it also added $2 to the price).
