The missus was one of those who got this and so I got a fair bit of it. The octopus was cooked very well–braised to just the right tender texture and grilled to crisp it up; I thought it could have stood to be a little more charred but this was a minority opinion. The two of us were not impressed by the sauce though, a coconut curry/yam puree that tasted like a dull version of a satay dipping sauce at a neighbourhood Thai restaurant. Still, it’s apparently a signature dish so what do we know?
