So, a pretty good first course overall. On to the mains! (We were more coy here and only got one each.)
Pork Cheeks Braised in Maibock Beer, Potato Goulash, Escarole, Lovage. As you can see, an elaborate construction and rather large. Quite tasty too but more comfort food than inspired. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course, but it’s probably not something I’d want to eat in the spring or summer.
