Japanese whisky is better sold at insanely inflated prices rather than hung onto and drunk. Demand for the stuff by people with very deep pockets is not commensurate with the quality of whisky that is in the bottle IMHO. Good stuff to be sure, but the current frenzy over it is not justified by the quality alone.

I generally agree. These are all samples from swaps, however, and so I don’t have to feel like I’m making a bad financial decision by drinking them.

Well, I gave you credit for not being foolish enough throw a ton of money at some Japanese single malts just to tell us punters all about it. LOL!! I’m sure your insights will make for interesting reading (because they always do) but I already know that my whisky buying dollars are better spent elsewhere.
