Coming Soon…

Moonrise KIngdomI’ve been enjoying returning to “classic” malts in the past few weeks and there’ll be some more of that again this month. Mixed in will be some reviews of arcane bottles released only in Europe and some long-gone and/or super-expensive ones released in the US as well. And it’s possible I might do a brief report on an upcoming gathering celebrating sherried whisky.

Here’s the long list of potential reviews this month. Some are already in the books (the Archives bottles, the Devil’s Casks), others are long overdue (the Alambic Classique Longmorn), and some, you might guess from the above, are certainties (at least one or two of the Highland Parks, the Clynelish 14 and the Manager’s Dram). Feel free to nominate others that you’d like to see for sure (there probably won’t be more than 12-14 whisky reviews, however).

On the food front I hope to get my survey of Indian restaurants in the Twin Cities area back on track and I may even be so daring as to eat sushi in the area.

    • I ran out of month. Basically, I throw a large pile of things on my shelves that I want to drink into these monthly lists. If I don’t get around to drinking and reviewing something listed for a given month and then in the intervening period it turns out I’ve swapped for or bought other samples, or opened other bottles, then those shinier, newer ones push the older ones down the list our out through my memory hole. But it’s on November’s list which is also coming soon.
