I’ve set a fairly hectic pace of reviewing since I started this blog last March, with nearly a review a day. This month I’m going to start slowing down a little. Whisky reviews will probably appear every other day. For the first half of the month they’ll be mixed in with reviews of meals in Delhi (I return to Minnesota next week).
At a minimum you can expect reviews of the following whiskies to appear this month:
Amrut 100, Batch 2
Braes of Glenlivet, 1977-1997 (Glenhaven)
Braeval 14, 1996 (Chieftain’s)
Eagle Rare 10
Eagle Rare 17, BTAC 2010
Glen Grant 1967-2003 (Scott’s Selection)
Glenlivet 16 “Nadurra”, Batch 1109I
Glenmorangie 10, “Original”
Highland Park 21
Highland Park, St. Magnus, 2nd Ed.
Laphroaig 13, 1998 (Archives)
Teaninich 15, 1995 (G&M)
As you can see, a little more of an emphasis on official bottlings this month.
And the long promised post about the rhetoric around investment whisky and the role of various bloggers and other popular whisky figures in this phenomenon will finally drop this month. I know I’ve said this before but this time it’s actually going to happen. I am confident that after this post is made the few people who have resisted the blandishments of this blog will finally become great fans!
