Coming Soon…

Coming Soon..
We’ve just moved house and are swimming in boxes. The whisky is still packed up and being very clever I didn’t bother to label the boxes. So I have no idea where anything is. As a result, with the exception of bottles that were purchased after everything was packed up (and everything was packed up in December, before we left for India and Hong Kong), reviews this month will be entirely from samples. I will be finishing up the reviews of my Binny’s bottle splits (the Glenlivet, Ledaig, Linkwood and Balmenach remain) and that’ll likely be it in terms of reviews of malts that are currently easily available in the US. I will also try my best to get to the long-promised Redbreast CS review. If there’s anything else from the list below that you’re interested in seeing, please write in below as always.

There’ll also be the usual food posts, though maybe not as many as usual until unpacking is done and we have energy to cook anything interesting or to leave the house to eat. A housekeeping note for those who read my restaurant reviews: there’s been some glitch in’s gallery feature, as a result of which images and captions have not been displaying correctly when you launch a slideshow. WordPress is yet to respond to queries about this and so I have no idea when it will be fixed—it’s making me think fondly again about self-hosted service.

  1. I’ll say that Springbank Madeira, but are you sure it’s a 16-year-old? The only Springbank Madeira I’ve seen from recent years was an 11-year old.
